Unbox and Verify

Carefully unbox your Ledger device and verify that all components are present and the device shows no signs of tampering. Your package should include the hardware wallet, USB cable, recovery sheet, and keychain strap.

Connect to Ledger Live

Download and install Ledger Live, the official companion application for your Ledger device. Available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Connect your device using the provided USB cable.

Initialize Your Device

Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device as new. Choose a strong PIN code with 4-8 digits that you'll remember but others cannot easily guess.

Security Tip: Never share your PIN with anyone. Ledger will never ask for your PIN.

Write Down Your Recovery Phrase
